BEP is committed to securing the best possible education for every child and young person living within our city.
The team carrying the School Improvement contract from BCC focus on two aspects of support for schools:
The first is providing support for Priority (Maintained) Schools that Ofsted have judged to be inadequate or requires improvement plus good/outstanding schools which may be vulnerable to a decline in Ofsted judgements.
Second, we work to support Whole City Standards to raise attainment across all schools, both maintained and academy in all sectors and phases.
As most of our work is based on finding and brokering school to school support, our central office education team is small but made up of highly effective and experienced Headteachers and Senior Leaders, who work with schools collectively and individually to ensure rapid and sustained School Improvement.
